According to the data compiled by China's customs, in June China's iron ore imports amounted to 51.09 million t, surging by 8.3% year over year while dropping by 4.1% from 53.30 million t in May. Besides, China's steel product imports and exports had reached 1.2 million t and 4.29 million t respectively in June.
On the other hand, China's overall iron ore imports totaled 334.3 million t for the first six months of this year, rising by 8.1% year over year. In addition, China's year-to-date steel product imports had decreased by 4.8% from previous year and to 8.03 million t. At the same time, China's steel product exports had stood at 24.33 million t, increasing by 3.2% year over year.
